That *is* a genuine catch-22.  In your case you really need to use another
computer for internet access.

Unfortunately, sometimes it's the only way to get around the problems. It's
not unlike having to go into regedit, or msconfig in Windows and sifting
through all the "meaningless" stuff there.


But do consider a router such as the DI-713p.  There is one in the USA on
eBay as item #270228698869.   Only $10.  It's an inexpensive solution!
