JP> DR> She knows her name and actually comes when I call
JP> DR> her. I guess she hasn't learned how to be a cat
JP> DR> yet.
JP>
JP> That's great. And being a cat; that's a myth
JP> perpetrated by people who, if the cat were a child,
JP> would be jailed for neglect. :<
I don't understand cat haters. I was raised in a family that always had
several dogs around, so I thought that I was a dog lover. Turns out, I just
hadn't met my match yet. Once you have a cat, there's no turning back. They
are fascinating little creatures and I love mine dearly.
JP> DR> She hasn't started scratching yet. I trim her
JP> DR> nails about once a week, more if she needs it.
JP> DR> But she doesn't seem to be interested in scratching.
JP>
JP> Cats scratch, it not only sharpens their claws, but
JP> provides them with isometric/tonic exercise and leaves
JP> scent markings. She's scratching, you just haven't
JP> found the place(s) yet.
