My friend who just got one of her knees replaced is going to have the
other one done as soon as they will let her. She is going to start
lunging her horse this week. She figures if she can drive she can
lunge and she is planning to be back in the saddle by the end of the
month. Its been almost 4 weeks since her surgery.

Do people get stones and colic from lack of water? Cute paramedics?

My horses have to be cinched up 2 holes tighter now than they did at the
beginning of summer and I'm feeding more grain now. The counselors in
training (CITs) from the summer camp do most of the feeding and they
seem to give the horses the same amount of feed no matter how big or
small they are. I guess I"ll get some stable pellets to give them to
help keep the weight on. This year they are getting to graze for several
hours a day which is helping. We have to watch the water too.
Sometimes the kids forget. Fortunately all the boarders look out for
each other so no horse has had to do without water and now they are
doing a mid afternoon water run as well as at feeding times. I HATE
summer camp but I really do like all the goodies that the kids provide.
