Some groups are moderated. Others are not. The alt. hierarchy is not 
moderated, but governed by a set of rules that permit it to function. 
One of the rules is that there should be no advertising in the 
alt.support.XXXXXX hierarchy. I am in one regularly. Advertisers are 
roasted. Spammers are turned into crispy critters.
And trolls are,,,well, let's say that it is not pretty.
