Sadly I received no feedback at all ...
so I had to try it myself.

Arrived yesterday, and seems to be a nice lower cost transceiver.
It also has a simple automatic antenna tuner built in (works up to an SWR of
3).

I have not yet had much time to play with it, but it looks nice and is fully
manageable over CAT (as usual for Yaesu).

So if somebody is looking into it, it is a nice rig with a good
price/performance ratio ;)
