Hi All!
There is a corwdfunding for a new Software Defined Radio.
https://www.crowdsupply.com/lime-micro/limesdr
It is a USB3 100kHz-3.8GHz 12 bit software defined radio.
Full duplex 2x2 MIMO.
It seems that it is open hardware/software and supports soapy SDR and UHD.
It is endorsed by Ubuntu as the "Arduino for telecoms and RF".
Normal price 299USD.
Early bird 199USD (sold out)
They made a second early bird for 249USD (I am in there).
Also nice for HAM use as it starts at 100 kHz.
Please beware that transmit power is very, very low.
You need an amplifier for HAM use.
You can also attach a ridiculous amount of antennas.
2x2 MIMO with 3 receive antennas and 2 transmit antennas.
= 10 antennas ;)))
Crowdfunding asks for 0.5 MUSD, if they reach their goal delivery is projected
for december 2016.
A previous generation Lime chip is also powering the BladeRF SDR.
Sounds very interesting, maybe some of you are interested as well.
CU, Ricsi
