Do you remember the song with the line "video killed the radio star"? Well television killed the movie star (system). Hollywood in the 50s and 60s was vastly different than in the years before. The "studio system" was forever dead and gone. There could never again be a Joan Crawford or Jimmy Stewart and not just because stars today can't act. :) -- L'Chaim, Mimi fcpnmimi(at)cox.net http://www.myspace.com/fcpnmimi Whatcha reading? --- Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 (Windows/20080708)* Origin: Fidonet Via Newsreader - http://www.easternstar.info (1:123/789.0) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 18/200 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 SEEN-BY: 2320/200 2905/0 @PATH: 123/789 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
