Hello, Mark, it is a great day here.

ML> that would be sparky of PCBoard fame/history... there are other
ML> methods that do the same basic functions.

If you ever get to write that project of yours, let me know, I will do
some beta testing for you. ;-)) JAM ?

My first experience with this message mailing was in 2m packet work. I
even tried to do it on HF Ham bands and got it to work. I wanted to
have access to the world if I went on a long sail. My 38' sailboat was
loaded with elex, starting with an alternator controler to make it all
possible, a small computor that would charge the battery banks in a
 shorter time. A marvel.

But for the time being, sailboat sold, I am a land lubber still playing
with things in the spirit of the Ham op where one would build his own
coil, trany and all circuits. I keep in touch with the world via BW and
this is sufficient in my waning years. The inside operation is in the
background as I am using it successfully and that is the important
 point.

But as I do quite often, let me thank you again for the conversation.
Yesterday, I was cleaning some old .doc from my laptop and I chanced on
some from you about doing repair work to a system, involving DOS. I kept
 them all.
