MM> I agree, 2011 with Scott Walker and Rick Snyder. But
MM> Democrats havent done good either, Solyndra and subsidized
MM> cars that the market does not want. 250,000 in subsidies
MM> for each chevy volt.
That $250K is for the first 6000. Add another 6000 and it
becomes 125K. Make it 60000 volts, cars not EMF, ant it becomes
$25000. If it hits 600000 cars it's $2500/car. And so on.
MM> That is irresponsible.
Not for R&D.
MM> Both political
MM> parties have blood on their hands. I do agree that public
MM> employees deserve fair compensation, but we should not
MM> defer their pay to future generations such as their
MM> pensions when we don't know if we could afford these
MM> obligations in the future where we do have a pension crash
MM> coming soon.
Do we? Why? Most public pension funds I have read about are
required to fund 30 years into the future. Wisconsin's is funded
withing a fraction of 1% of 100%. Ohio's was funded 87.7% last I
looked. With those plans funded in the stock market, That's a
good reason for the gap.
Before we cut anything, I want to see future funding calculated
on the basis of unemployment at under 5%, not the 15% real
unemployment we now have.
If we get real umemployment down under 5% we solve most of our
problems. If it doesn't come down, there might not be a country
to worry about.
