DC>> I don't have LIST.COM on my system.

ml>> you can download an eval version from www.buerg.com or
ml>> i can make an older shareware version available for
ml>> you to get off my site... it is an invaluable tool...

DC> I found one called LISTPLUS there... Is that the same?

yeah, for the most part... the main item needed is the viewer portion and
that's built into all his LIST products as that is their major job...

DC>> I tried it in FileFind

ml>> i dunno anything about FileFind... what is that?

DC> An old Norton utility. I think that the update is FIND in WIN

oh... i never really used the norton utils all that much... FF and NCD were
the two i used the most of those... and diskedit, of course... once i
started using LIST, though, it quickly became the most used util on my
systems... i LIST everything and in many cases, its also what i use to
change directories simply because when i did, i was wanting to see a list
of the files and then to look inside them... most of the time, that is...
still kinda that way, too... the norton stuff and norton commander are/were
just too much overkill for what LIST can do in such a small package...

ml>> creates... i haven't done off line stuff in a while but you

ml>> messages you wrote... you're only interested in the one

DC> I can see the kludges on the BBS. There is no REPLY in
DC> messages imported from Blue Wave.

right... unless you can somehow get one created manually that retains the
^A character without filtering or translating it to something else... most
times ^A is filtered to {at}...

ml>> ok, i uncompressed the .REP packet and there is only one MSG file
ml>> inside it... that's where i looked and i do see the characters as

DC> I'm use .NEW , which is the BW format of a .REP

ok and you uncompressed it and looked at the MSG file inside it?
