I've got one BME280 which has worked fine on a 3B, 3B+ and now a 4B,
I've not tried in on either of my Pi 2Bs though. I'd have to do a bit of
reconfiguring of sensor acquisition code to switch them over, but I'll
give it a try soon.

All my other vintages of Pi from 256MB Pi B upwards, including the 2Bs
are using the HTU21DF sensor (also much better than the HT22). They are
just temperature and humidity, no pressure, but you can them for about a
fiver on ebay, so may be more suitable for that Pi if you can't get the
BME280 to work.
