Best I've been able to do is set up a text-only printer under Windows,
then connect it to a file rather than to a port. When you print checks,
you end up with a text file with all the info. I had a Word Perfect
macro which imported the text file and set it up for printing to my
checks. Then I changed check styles and went to Microsoft Word, and
haven't bothered to try updating the macro.
I've also toyed with the idea of writing a small program that will read
the text file and print it out to user specifications. Think there's a
market for it?
