That's usually the way I do it.

That sounds about right to me, I think that's the way I've been setting
em.

That makes no sense at all, since I don't know of any computer that doesn't
come with at least a couple of com ports.

Since I do this sort of thing so seldom I don't find it a hassle to use a
bootable disk and then stick the other one in there. If I can find it!
I've got one of those cards in this machine, and one in the machine out in
the other room. Also a 16-port hub sitting on top of the tower here, with
only the one wire running into it so far. But I've got three more of those
cards, and plan to have some fun with this stuff...
