RC> Hello All!
RC> I didnt really watch any of the debates, the 3 Presidential
RC> ones or the VP one, I saw bits and pieces of them and none
RC> of the one last night.
RC> I got all the sound bites I needed from the media recaps.
RC> These debates are mainly for those whom are fence sitting
RC> or undecided, for those already decided, nothing that
RC> happens in the debates can sway.
RC> I did catch one important sound bite..
RC> McCain told Obama that he wasnt Bush and that if he wanted
RC> to run againt him, he should have ran 4 years ago.
RC> How appropriate.
What would have been appropriate would have been for McCain to
run against Bush in 2004. Instead McCain litterally embraced
Bush.
Bush won the nomination by smearing McCain's military record and
his family. Then Bush took us into a war on the basis of lies,
that were known to be lied by the election of 2004.
Yet McCain still supported Bush. McCain sold his soul for a
chance at the Whitehouse.
Most of the over 4000 American service men and women who have
died in Iraq died after the 2004 election. We will never know
how many would not have died had Bush lost that election,
whether to Obama or to McCain. We do know McCain has said he
consistently opposed Bush's conduct of the war. If he did, but
didn't oppose Bush for reelection, then McCain can share the
blame for those deaths. He would have had a hard time doing
worse in running the war.
