Hello All!

In Washington State, a 19yo student was sitting in the cafeteria at lunch
time and overheard a conversation in which he learned that a fellow student
had a allergy to peanuts and its various products.

He proceeded to apply peanut butter to his fingers from another students
sandwich and smeared it on the victims forehead. When the victim told his
attacker that he was allergic to peanuts, the attacker smeared more peanut
butter on the victims forehead.

The student was subsequently suspended and has had assault charges filed aainst him.

The victim is said to have not suffered any reaction to the peanut butter
and his parents didnt want charges filed, feeling the suspension was
enough, but the school wanted something done about it.

My commentary:

This wasnt a prank committed by a 14yo, 15yo or 16, much less 17yo, but a 19yo MAN.

On its face, such a prank could and should be dealt with by suspension,
detention and perhaps a apology letter, but the allergy adds a new twist.

A allergy to any substance is simply a hyper-immune response to that
substance, in which immune system goes into overdrive. Unfortunately this
could lead to the death of said person, anaphylactic responses arent a
laughing matter.

The attacker was lucky he didnt cause the victim to lapse into a
anaphylactic response.

He deserves to be prosecuted nevertheless because he did it because he was
told of the victims allergy and when directly told by the victim of the
allergy he continued.

The stupidity of our nations youth continues!
