| subject: | Identifying Disk Activity |
Here's an interesting one!
I've been looking at a machine here (Slackware 10.2-ish, KDE 3.4.2) that
seems to be constantly hitting the disk system when KDE is running.
There is nothing unusual loaded, the machine is not connected to the net,
but about once a second the disk activity light on the front panel gives a
flicker. If I stop KDE, this activity stops.
I can't figure out what it is.
Can anyone suggest a tool thta will help me identify which file(s) are
being hit and which process(es) are doing the hitting?
