| subject: | Lynx for OS/2 and Maximus 3.01 |
Hello Hakan, GW> I am trying to get LYNX/2 to work with Maximus/2 3.01. Has anybody GW> had any successs? If so can you share it with me? HK> I never tried this but I am interested. I am HK> considering installing a web browser door but running HK> Lynx somehow would be better. I am using OS/2 too. HK> Please tell me what have you tried up to now and I'll HK> try to work on it too. There are 2 versions of LYNX out for OS/2. One actually has the source code available and can be edited do do an actual door but I decided to take the lazy man's way out and license OS2You -- a very good program that allows you to make any program a DOOR. Wwith MAXPIPE I had limited success with the one with source code and no luck with the other one. HK> to All: Do you know a better technique for this? I am not sure if there is a better way. There was a public LYNX server that you could open a telnet door to with a program called CINET but it seems to be down now.
