subject: PANIC THE PUBLIC

AH>The situation with this bailout is the exact scenario we saw with the
AH>Patriot Act. Bush and Co. said that we must have this, or terrorists
AH>will attack at will. So, the public was scared (like when he kept
AH>linking Iraq to 9/11 by mentioning Iraq every time he mentioned
AH>9/11), and a bill that should have been studied and debated was
AH>passed immediately.

AH>Last week and this week, Bush and Paulson got on TV, and said if this
AH>bailout doesn't pass, a crisis will turn into a catastrophe, and we
AH>could have another Depression. This is another issue that required
AH>time to seek out alternatives, including having economists speak to
AH>the House and Senate. Know how many did? Zero! Instead, the bill
AH>had to be voted on and passed right away, by the same politicians of
AH>both parties who, along with their predecessors, got us into this
AH>mess! Ridiculous.

And yet folks want to vote for a liberal who will put us further into
debt. Amazing. McCain is the only one talking about cutting government
spending. If anyone has another answer, let's hear it.
