I was more referring to a serious cyclist, as one who rides bicycles as a 
sport, and spends most of their time training for that sport...i.e. they're 
either a professional cyclist, or close to it.
I don't really find alternative transportation cyclists to be serious 
cyclists, mainly for the reason, that if they were able to find more reliable 
transportation, that was cheaper, that they would probably use that method 
instead of cycling.  i.e.  they're not hard and fast tied to cycling.
