No one is attacking Joe the plumber, they are attacking McCain
for using Joe the plumber.
The issue was phoney. There is no way Joe the plumber would buy
that plumbing company and suddenly, or even soon, be in a
position where he would be subject to increased taxes under any
plan Obama favors. In fact, he would get a better tax cut under
Obama than under McCain.
Joe the plumber is the personification of the person Obama was
talking about, the person who votes against his own interests.

And Joe the plumber was on TV recently, and refused to endorse
McCain.
He said he was not endorsing a candidate, but is glad he may
have encouraged others to think about issues.
