RC> Hello Bob!

RC> He said something very close to it..
Not even remotely.
BK>> Except for the fact that Joe the plumber isn't doing all that

BK>> Except for the fact that Joe the plumber is not a plumber.
RC> Irrelevant...
The man claims he is trying to buy out the plumbing business he
works for, and worries about having his taxes raised if he makes
more than $250K/yr? That is not only relevant, but is the heart
of the issue. He isn't qualified as a plumber, he couldn't
legally run the business if he could buy it, which he can't
because it's not for sale, and he wouldn't make $250K/yr if he
did buy it.
RC> Obama did say the controversial things that drew this
RC> attention.
Controversial only to those who have no idea what it's all
about.
BK>> Except for the fact that Joe the plumber has probably never
BK>> seen $250,000/yr in his entire life, and probably will never see
BK>> $250000/yr unless he goes into drug dealing or inflation becomes
BK>> hyper-inflation.
RC> It was in reference to a plumbing company, that he was
RC> thinking of buying..
Which would still not make him $250K/yr, and it's not for sale,
and he doesn't have the contractor's license he would have to
have to run it anyway.
RC> Even if *Joe* was all wet, there are scenarios that are
RC> real that this situation did embody, all over..
There very seldom are such scenarios. And if you do ever earn
$250K/yr... pay the damn taxes and shut up about it.
RC> In Rochester New York, there might be Sally the small
RC> business owner, operating a local advertising agency with
RC> plans to grow.
And when she makes $250K/yr she can pay the taxes.
RC> In Topeka Kansas, there might be William the Insurance
RC> broker, trying to grow his insurance agency..
He will probably never see $250K/yr, but, on the off chance he
does, he should just pay the taxes and don't bitch about it.
RC> In Macon Georgia, Betty is thinking of expanding her Beauty
RC> salon business into a chain of stores throughout Georgia..
So is every other beauty salon owner in Georgia. If she does she
should pay the taxes and not bitch about it.
RC> As far as Obama is concerned, these people are filthy rich
RC> and should be taxed to fuggin death.
If a small tax increase on a $250,000/yr income is taxed to
death, then they must be near death to begin with. $250k/yr is
about 5 times what the average plumber makes.
RC> Not all business is big business.
Any business that can pay $250K/yr is not small business.
