I can tell you that I have GEOS 1.0 still running on a 286 with 640K
ram, and that works fine (with a Panasonic Dot Matrix Printer,
Monochrome monitor in Hercules Mode, 20 MB hard drive)
It does run faster on my 386SX with 5 MB ram, but only a little.
(that one has EGA monitor, 30 MB hard drive>
I may upgrade someday, but it makes the old computers very useful.
I have to use Windows, so that is on faster 386 & 486 machines I have.
