I went to the PC 96 Show and talked to the Sales Manager for Modem
Connection (USR Distributor). Apparently they haven't heard of this
problem in the OZ version of the Courier but I wasn't at all impressed
with his reasoning (He said Austel is very strict and this problem
wouldn't have got through Austel! :-). Anyway, as others have explained,
there isn't a 4/29 version of the OZ firmware code yet and this problem
may be a time bomb waiting to happen. The good thing with the OZ version
I guess is that the Courier has only recently got a wider distribution
and the new stock coming in hopefully would have had this bug ironed
out.

Now that I've found out my PC Card modem can connect quite well to my
ISP since they upgrade their equipment, I just might save the money I
would have spent on the Courier to buy the USR Pilot instead :-)

Cheers,
