You will enjoy Ubuntu and, there may come a time when Linux becomes your OS of primary use. I just spent the last several days (during spare moments) installing WinXP Home to our MacBook. I used the Apple supplied Boot Camp to do the install and set up the dual boot capability. Fairly straight forward procedure but tedious. We wound up purchasing a full install copy of XP Home (generic OEM) from a web supplier rather than try to use one of several work arounds to install an upgrade copy. We have two unused upgrade copies of XP - one Home, one Pro. We needed to be able to run Windows while away from the main ministry location primarily for those several programs that have no OS X equivalent. Once we have all we need for the Mac, I'll blow away the WinXP partition and revert the entire hard drive back to OS X usage. We still have three machines running WinXP, two desktops and one laptop.
