        I was wondering along these lines, if a Restore would have
   saved the day or would the virus still be there ? I suggested to
   her that she ought to learn a bit more about this feature, on
   second thought, I wonder if this would have cured the problem.

        Anybody else ?

        You did read about my installing Office 97 as she wanted a
   french version, on her XP ? I do not have any other spare Office in
   french.         ^^ ^^^ ^^
