Hey Mike!
This might be more what you were thinking about as far as Atoms are concerned
(SYS-1017A-MP);
----- ':read !uname -a' starts
Linux lilmikey 4.15.2 #1 SMP Mon Feb 12 13:32:39 UTC 2018 x86_64 Intel(R)
Atom(TM) CPU N2800 @ 1.86GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
----- ':read !uname -a' ends
I use it as a headless wireless/internet router although it can function as a
lowpower consumption desktop if one were inclined to do so. Personally I don't
have much use for desktops. I just built and installed the 4.15.2 as you can
tell by it's datetime stamp. I also upgraded glibc and gcc while I was at it.
Seems to work. This message originated from there and was transferred to the
node via a wired network connection using scp. I think it deserves it's own
Fidonet node. Anyhow, Linux doesn't seem to have any big issues with Intel
Atoms that I can tell.
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
