Because my interest is in content, not packaging.  Bit mapping
requires more system resources - something that I can apply to
greater advantage in other pursuits.  (But I did try out /2.)

And actually, maybe the question should have been simply, "Why
are you running Max for DOS?"  To which I would have replied,
"Because TTBOMK there is no Max for Linux!"  (Not yet, anyway.)
