We have had discussions like that several times, where I will say my view on various upgrades. Typically, I enjoy and embrace upgrade - but they have to offer value of some type. Windows 8.1 adds no value at all vs. Windows 7. In fact, I see the interface as a downgrade. I remember I used to love Windows NT 4. I went happily over to Windows Server 2000 (for servers) back then because W2K Server added lots of value (ie. USB support, plug-n-play, interface upgrade) to name a few. Microsoft wants a single interface for all devices. I see their first attempt to do that as a complete failure. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.50* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 280 640/954 712/0 620 771 848 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
