Sydney PC USers Group
OS/2 SIG
Meeting

OCTOBER 21st

Level 10, Darling Park (IBM Building)

Topic: Installing and Tuning OS/2 Warp 4.

While the installation routine is much improved over version 3, there
are still areas where the unwary can come unstuck.

We'll have an expert from the sharp end of technical support on hand
with solutions to the most commonly experienced problems. There will be
our own regulars to offer alternative suggestions.

We'll be doing a full installation as a framework around which to
discuss the different options at each stage of the install. The choices
you make at install time are critical, with more alternatives than in
previous versions of OS/2.

Of course, installation is just the first part. Tuning, establishing the
various defaults, going through the settings (uh, properties) is the
next important stage. And there are LOTS of buttons inviting you to push
them!

What to expect: Answers, answers, answers! Even if you're new to the
world of OS/2. This is emphatically not a sales pitch, but a group of
real users meeting to resolve problems (or just fears of problems).

Where: Level 10, Darling Park (IBM Building)
Corner of Sussex and Market Sts
       Sydney

When: 6pm (sharp)

Door Prize: We'll be demonstrating it!

See you there!
