Good Morning, Linda - About that message on 11-07-1998 from Linda Hargraves to Roger Nelson: LH> I am sure of that, I am finding lots of people interested enough LH> to be of real help with my questions. The one single mod I had to make when I dropped 3.01 into my 2.02 setup was in max.ctl. 3.01 has a FirstMessageArea and FirstFileArea default you must specify, so that first-time users can land in those areas. The verbs are already in the .ctl file; you just have to put in your area names or numbers. Even if you forget, when a user selects Messages, it will prompt them for a message area. All my hard-earned ansi menus and mecca stuff never knew anything had changed. The ONLY work/learning you will have to do is if you want to use new features that don't exist in 2.02. Initially I did this, then went back to a generic system because I seem to have a set of unteachable users. Go ahead, the water's fine, and we'll all be here to help if you get shakey. --- FleetStreet 1.22+* Origin: Aurora Exploratoria - Ladysmith, BC, Canada (1:351/206) SEEN-BY: 396/1 632/0 371 633/260 267 270 284 371 634/397 635/506 725 728 SEEN-BY: 639/252 670/218 @PATH: 351/206 300 1 170/400 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
