If Ansichat is a generic door, it should work OK.  I'm using a chat door called
Icechat, which has reached the end of it's upgrades about a year ago.  Max
will run just about any door, although you may have to write a Mecca file to
get some doors to work right.

That's exactly what I use.  Did you do an FCOMP?  (FCOMP 22 c:\max)

If it's for FILES.BBS, it should work OK.  Max's FILES.BBS structure is pretty
much generic unless you force it into multi-line mode with utilities such
as Maxlist.
