Haven't been around in a while...won't be back regularly for about
another week. Just thought you'd all like to know that New Deal Publish
is released and is available from a these internet sites:

I installed it for like 5 minutes, did a quick copy of the missing
system files into the directory and tried a few apps and everything
appeared to work. But I deleted it immediately as I don't have the disk
space for 2 versions and as my SDK is for 2.0, I want to be able to
catch any bugs that will show up in 2.0.
Every other site I've seen hasn't updated it yet.
Breadbox is now offically a New Deal Office reseller. Breadbox also
announced that they are offically developing camera software to work
with the Connectix QuickCam.
NDO 3.0 is announced for May or so.
Just yesterday I did some (geos) programming for money and I might be
doing it again in January. So I've already more than made up my
investment in the SDK and C++ :) If I can find a 16 meg ram upgrade for
$100 again then I'm going up to 24megs and with the other $50 I'll have
a little fun at a music store.
I might be releasing some things with Breadbox/GOCE...I've got a bunch
of SoundBlaster things in the works...I already have a wav and voc
player...I might be able to do a MOD player also but playings MODs needs
a lot of memory (maybe too much for GEOS)...MIDI is really confusing...
if anybody wants any other formats I'll see what I can do if you can
find me a copy of the format specs...
Nate Fiedler released a character map program like the Windows
one...useful so you don't have to grab the manual or ask everybody how
to type something...
GeoNoid 1.0 was released (in German only so with English coming soon). I
don't really know the details about it's release...
I have a copy of the new video drivers...work nice except truecolor
doesn't want to work for me and they don't work when Ensemble is run
under Windows.
There are a whole bunch of other cool things in development that I can't
say anything about...
New Deal is off to a bad start as Helmar had some big sales for them
(South Africa Board of Education (for all the schools) and a huge
furniture store chain) but they ignored him.
