Uh... look below. I said "rewritable DVDs". Which is what
DVD-RWs are. Don't nit-pick the exact wording with me.
Note below, my first reply to Mimi. It was the next day, but
there were already a lot of msgs on this. Including the one
correcting her, from Jeff B.

RC> and it is clear to me what she means by DVD.
What she meant and what she said may be two different things.
She meant what she knew, I posted a correction to her. Not my
fault if she refuses to be educated.
RC> Instead of this prolonged did not/did to, you could have
RC> merely said, except for DVD-RW's, which you didnt do..
Didn't I?
I had not gone through the entire thread before. I found even
Jeff Binkley corrected her, but she still refuses to be
educated.
Note that I specifically mentioned rewriteable DVDs. Which are
what DVD-RWs are.
Again, note how this all came about. We were having a nice
discussion, with even Sauer and Hulett exchanging msgs nicely,
and Mimi poisoned the whole thing. She deserved what she got.
And the sooner others stop making excuses for her the sooner she
will stop the attacks.

Maybe to record a TV program. As I did earlier this evening, an
episode of law and order.

Ah, Mimi the ignorant one. Ever hear of a rewritable DVD? I have
one sitting in front of me right now. Should I take a picture
and email it to you?
My goodness, I just took a look at the directory, it's full of
videos. Dang! How did that happen?
Oh, and consider that no store around here sells VCRs anymore.
You can buy a combo VCR/DVD but they are expensive. A lot more
than $50.
So, if you intend to record videos in the future, you better
plan on buying a DVD recorder. Or go for Blue Ray, which is
several times as expensive.

Yes, they are, all over. When they are on sale.
We were all having a nice conversation. One of the very few nice
conversations I have seen in this echo. Even Ross and Hulett
were playing nice.
