Lewin, at 19:40 on Sep 07 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BG> Gerard Mears' home page, and you're right, it certainly appears to use the BG> Rockwell command set. Oh good, I was a little concerned that I might have problems installing it under Win95 (and still may, as the new models are 33k6-capable, yet the inf file which I have doesn't list the 31200 or 33600 link rates, and I'm not at all sure how Win95 will react when the modem connects at speeds higher than 28k8). I'd hack the current inf file if I knew what the hell I was doing, but I have no idea what the hex values after each connect string mean. Oh well, I won't be using the thing, so maybe I shouldn't be worrying about it... The int V.34 model, I LE> haven't owned one, but it was a real pain to test, kept hanging up, locking LE> up,... Can't comment on the internal, but I have heard that the external appears to perform reasonably well, and will certainly be adequate for its intended use. I'm picking it up on Wednesday, and will let you know how it performs here before I box it up for my father.
