DVD+R are more conducive for Video

DVD-R are more conducive for Data

The R means recordable.

DVD+RW and DVD-RW are rewritable.

All can do video or data nowadays..

Once anything is written to a "R" disc it cannot be erased, if
the session has been closed, nothing more can be added.

Rewritable disks can be written to and erased up to approx 1000 times.

To erase a recordable disk, destroy it..
