I really like Ubuntu... I'm running it on my iMac G3 now and might start
using it instead of Slackware next time I reinstall. My BBS is running on
Slackware 10.2, but I chose Slackware mainly because I've used Sync on
it before. Ubuntu is a second fave though.
What's neat though, a friend loaded Fedora Core 4 (or whatever the latest
is) and Wine totally worked with probably 90% of the programs he loaded.
Literally using Wine he executed the Setup.exe and it installed with no
problems! I'm talking about Red Alert 2, MS Word and Excel 2000, and a ton
of utils we use up at work. I haven't tried this on Ubuntu yet, but I hope
it's there too -- if not I'll be downloading it :)
