Prroperly set up, with appropriate compression ratio, proper valves,
seats, etc and running synthetic oil and micro-fine filters for oil and
air, a person might conceivably never wear one out in his lifetime.
Of course as Jim Dunmyer will doubtless point out the same might be said
for 'some' Diesels.
I just prefer to smell LP exhaust over Oil Burner exhaust.
