That's ridiculous. If they're sending faxes by long distance, they're
wasting their own money, and if you have to reply by long distance they're
wasting your money, too. At the very least if they're going to sell outside
of their area they need an 800 reply line, both voice and fax. Aside from
the rudeness of expecting a customer to reply by long distance, it's sheer
idiocy in terms of marketting. Not only do htey annoy you by fax marketting,
but they don't have a way for you to reply without spending on long distance.
You can bet they aren't selling much that way.

If they've used a fax marketting company they have no way of knowing that
you're replying to one of their faxes unless you tell them, therefore they
have no way of knowing that their faxes were unwanted unless you tell them.
I can bet they've broken the law in at least one of these - the law in BC
clearly states that a delete list must be maintained (thea dvertiser has 24
hours to get a number on the delete list, which they must be able to prove
they did, and the number must stay on that list for three years, and there
must be a local number for reply. I don't know what the law is where you
are, but if they're breaking it, go for them.
