What's Pex.. ? :) I suspect it is the same, or similar. Mex is a
programming language that you can use to execute programs written in Mex
from Maximus. If your running Maximus 3.01 there are a number of Mex
programs in your \Max\M directory, some of them are used by max on every
call, like the message menu header. The Mexchat program that comes with Max
is a good example of what can be done with Mex, and also Padlock. A CBV
written in Mex.

Mex.exe also comes with max, so you can compile your own mex's.. :)
