August, top of the morning to you !
AA> One day I forgot that I had removed the live-cd
AA> from the tray.. and the system proceeded to boot to WinME. As I had
AA> expected, the video rendered in 16 colour mode using my NEW video card!
AA> It also failed to cooperate with my newly configured router-based
AA> network (I had it previously configured using ICS and that worked
AA> wonderfully well), but it disabled access to the router with a message
AA> something like "A conflict is detected with 192.168.0.1 and MAC
AA> address..." and proceeded to simply disable the interface! WinME is
AA> junk. I'm not going back there.
Drastic step to take but I might understand. As U'U is
supposed to NOT interfere with any of the system files (?), I would
not blame it for this event. Can we look somewhere else for this
change ? Or were these settings actually what you had selected in
Me before ? When I used U'U off Live CD, and then got back to
Vista, nothing was crunged. I might misunderstand your post.
... After TI, I am giving Ubuntu a hard time.
... Or is it U'U giving me a hard time ???
