Hehehehe. Jist gettin ma own back. :) There's an interesting mix of people
who contribute to this echo, most of which are well beyond my confident
knowledge of C/C++ -- particularly the current thread about compiler
optimisation. I know three guys who wrote a small C compiler for a
articular
microcontroller, and they did a really tidy job of it. A two-stage
compilation
(firstly converting to a temporary meta-C, then assembling). It even
preserves
variable names, etc., so it's easy to debug the assembly.
Oops, I realise this is a tad off topic and Mr Mod will shout at me.
A question, then. Has anyone in here done any concurrent programming in C++?
It was a subject I thoroughly enjoyed and I would really like to get involved
with when I finally get a job. Let me know what you've used in terms of
solutions to the problems associated with concurrent programs.
