You've got it! The Harvards were modified to resemble the
Zero, and the BT-13's the Vals and Kates. I remember seeing
them in a hangar at Long Beach where the mods were done
before the movie was produced.
They still appear at the odd airshow. One of the modified
Vibrators was at Sun N' fun a few years ago.
