subject: Modem & Commander Phone

MC>I want to connect a modem to my PC at work to access internet for
MC>e-mail. The problem is we have a Telstra Commander phone system. If
MC>you connect the modem to a spare plug (or piggyback it to my phones
MC>plug) how do you grab a line?

MC> Is it possible to use the commander systems lines or will I have to
MC> have a stand alone line added?

MC> Any help would be appreciated.
MC> Regards,
MC> Malcolm.

Couldn't you simply have the modem dial a number.. in the number list
you can add a *,,,,,,NUMBER where the * is the number req'd to get a
dial tone and the ,,,,, are pauses while it gets one.. I am not 100%
sure of this info but give it a go :)

Cheers
