LOL! I had a friend in San Diego with a big imagination. He claimed that
he saw flying saucers hovering over Mt Soledad. Soledad is a coastal hill
about 730 feet in height that overlooks the gem, La Jolla. On top, they've
put two TV transmitter towers and numerous radio transmitters. I think he
had a few too many the night he claimed to see the saucers and there may
have been some fog floating around it, making the red lights on the towers
look like they were dancing around. We both lived in Clairemont at the
time, I lived a mile or so closer to the 'hill'...Clairemont is a 'mesa'
(spanish 4 table) that goes quite a ways inland and is as flat as all get
out. From Soledad, you can see straight across it to the 'hills' that are
La Mesa, which has sort of a twin to Soledad hill.
