Hey Sean!

Sounds okay for a node but I am looking for something more sane for points
and users. Since BBS sysops don't care about their users - if they even
have any these days - then I am taking it upon myself to create something
that works, and is lean and mean for my latest minimized ttylinux I am
running on this box. I managed to liberate myself from requiring a faked
out zmodem transfer so now it is a simple matter of eliminating the tosser
(hpt), and the editor (msged). I plan to use a customized microperl to
convert back and forth between text and FTN style pkt's for the uplink.

I picked up this message that I am responding to with a bash scripted ftp
client and am now working on a microperl script that can be added to the
system so that it can easily be ported. Just working on a replacement for
the perl %ENV hash for microperl and will take it from there. Instead I
have a system call to /usr/bin/env and am using that instead. This way I
save well over 30M and can keep the rootfs so that it will fit onto one
floppy. There is no way that the normal Fido stuff, no matter what
platform or programs, will ever fit onto one floppy along with the entire
root file system. This does and will.

I am evil. :-)

Life is good,
Maurice
