RW> PS - I've had my Z28 up to 137 too.

That's flying, isn't it?

RW> A glutten for punishment.

He collects cars and lets them rust on his property. Last time I counted,
he had about 50 cars/trucks. I guess he's a little on the eccentric side.

RW> If you saw how a valve lash adjustment was done on those, you'd think
RW> that the flat head Ford was so simple a baby could do it.

Do I want to know?

RW> There aren't very many fools in the world that would want to experience
RW> having one of those more than once.

Those cars ran, but are now rusting away. Even the protection of the shed
isn't keeping them safe. My friend has lived all over the world and his
first wife, whom he's now visiting in Madrid, Spain (for those who would
mistake it for elsewhere) came here a few years ago. When he lived in
France, he bought the two Citro‰ns and shipped them here when he rotated
back to the states.

RW> Back in those days, there wasn't any such thing as a radial tire with
RW> speed ratings. They were all crap.

And if you got over 20,000 miles on a set, that was really rare.

RW> Remember the scene in American Graffiti where they tied a wire rope
RW> around the axle of the 61 Ford squad car and then egged them on to give
RW> chase?

I don't remember that. Maybe I have it confused with Porky's. It's been
some time since I've seen American Graffiti, but Porky's was on a few
nights ago and I watched it.

RW> That's how it worked, only instead of driving by, we peeled out of the
RW> same parking lot and sprayed the squad car with gravel, just as the cop
RW> was coming out of a restaurant. When I saw that movie for the first time,
RW> I started to laugh during the scene where Dreyfuss was handed the rope

RW> going to happen.

Y'all were bad boys. (-:

RW> I had a 75 Cutlass with those swivel buckets. Nancy and I both loved
RW> those.

And you can tell I still miss them.

RW> Nancy does that with the grapes too. She eats more of them than I do.

The stuff they're selling now is junk. I haven't bought grapes in two
years. The stores never have what I'm looking for. Unlike tomatoes, which
I would buy because ketchup is cheaper, I buy grapes and bananas by sight.

RW> Quadrajet or Holly?

Quadrajet.

I'll answer the rest later. My daughter wants to use the computer.

Roger
