| subject: | MEX -- What is it? |
Hi Alan,
AI> *** Quoting Linda Hargraves from a message to Alan Ianson ***
AI> I hear ya.. but I'm sure you'll like this chat
AI> mex, it comes with a lot
AI> of examples of what you can do with it.. or you
AI> can do like me and just
AI> pick a favorite and go with that.. :)
LH> I hope there is a DOS version. Do you know where I can find it?
AI> Yes, there are two mex files inside it, one for dos and one for OS/2.
AI> You can find it on Bob Juge's site, or the Maximus home page for sure,
AI> and it's probably available on a local bbs. The filename is MMCHAT_E.???
AI> It'll have to wait untill you do upgrade though, as there is no executible
AI> file in the archive, it's a mex that you run from Maximus, and requires
AI> Maximus 3.00 and up.
AI> AMU is up to version 3.16 now. It's can get quite
AI> involved and require
AI> a fair bit of configuring, but once you do get it
AI> setup you'll be happy
AI> with it.
LH> Thanks. Hopefully I can find it locally.
AI> I'm sure you can, the dos version is AMU316D.ZIP. I'm pretty sure this
AI> one is available at www or ftp.juge.com.
LH> cat.lady{at}cats.gratisnet.com
AI> Does this address alow file attachments? If so I can mail these to
AI> you if you can't find them. Just let me know.
No, it is on my bbs in my Fido netmail. I have not yet worked with
encode/decoders for e-mail attachments. I do have an ftp site for uploads.
ftp.galstar.com/users/linda. If you use it, send me an e-mail or message here.
