If you can figure out a way to hang it, the hardware stores sell
inexpensive heavy plastic rural mailboxes that work well as nestboxes.
Just cut a hole in the flat side near the door, hang it with the flat
side against the cage over a hole in the cage, and use the normal
mailbox door as the nest-checking door. If you want to make it TRULY
chew-proof (in case Brandy is a plastic eater too), then use a metal
mailbox, and when you cut the hole, be sure to fold the edges over
carefull to cover any sharp metal (you might want to have the hole cut
professionally by a sheet metal shop--probably wouldn't cost too much).
