NB>> That certainly gets all the letters of the alphabet... :) We've done
NB>> the alphabet game on trips many times, finding each letter from A to Z
NB>> on signs and license plates and such... and then returning from Z to
NB>> A... Sometimes multiple times... it does help the car trip go a little
NB>> faster... ;)
KW> Oh, back in those days when the kids weren't watching DVDs...
True... DVDs weren't even invented back then.... nor TVs(/DVD players)
for the vehicles... :) To this day, I still will do the alphabets,
even if I'm driving alone in the car... :)
KW> There's a scene in the movie "Tapeheads", an old '80s flick starring
KW> Tim Robbins and John Cusack as two guys who stumble into a career
KW> producing music videos. They're drinking in a bar and the bartender
KW> says that they need to pass a sobriety test for him to serve them any
KW> more. He asks them to recite the alphabet backwards, skipping the
KW> vowels, and signing the letters in ASL while doing it.
KW> The actors do it.
KW> I thought I'd never get served again if I had to do that!
I could do it.... ;) at least as long as I can still sign the
vowels.... :) Having read your message, I tried it... no problem at
all... except for figuring out whether or not to say the Y and the W
(which are sometimes vowels).... I often sign the alphabet as I do
the game in the car.... along with manual spelling out the words on
signs, just for practice... :)
KW> ... Have you ever asked a question you weren't supposed to ask?
Of course.... :) Occasionally it even gets answered....
ttyl neb
... I'm on a different cutting edge.
