You still have a lot to learn about cars, even at your age. I consulted a
Chevrolet mechanic whose been working steadily in the field for the last
25 years or more at Chevrolet dealers. He agrees with my summation about
your so-called mechanic who wouldn't recommend replacing wires.

Once a mechanic handles them, the carbon within (there is no wire) will
crack from heat, age and from being pulled on when he removes them from
the plug...you'll lose in the end, it's just a matter of time.

Your story and you're sticking to it. Frankly I couldn't care less.

It never had Autolites in it, so how can you fault something that isn't
used? The Autolite irridium plugs are a recommended replacement for
vehicles such as yours. Not overly expensive like your nippon choice and
will last just as long, if not longer.

TW> You have a very good record Roy but THIS TIME YOU ARE WRONG!!!

Not about you and your mechanic.

the victory itself.
